Now that time has passed on the GMT: Do you prefer the BLNR or the BLRO???
I vote Pepsi. The only GMT I would prefer over the Pepsi is a Coke if they ever re released one…that would be amazing imo

I've always loved the BLRO. When I had the opportunity to buy a BLNR I was surprised at how well the bezel insert worked, it looked much better in person than any photo I'd seen. I still preferred the BLRO and hung on for one. I bought it on Oyster because I thought Oyster suited it better. I also tried the bracelet from my 116610LV and wore that for a week. Turns out I prefer the Pepsi on Jubilee. Comfortable to wear and an homage to the original 6542.

tried BLRO on Jub, and it was hard pass. after some time tried BLNR on Oyster and it was a big love. :) Interesting how "same" watch can be that different.

I could of bought the Batman when it first came out but did not like black blue bezel. I already had a GMT2C at the time. When the Pepsi was released, I wasn't too interested as I don't like Jubilee. When I found out that an Oyster could be fitted from a Sub, I had to have one. Ironically, by the time I got my Pepsi on Jubilee, the Oyster version was only a couple of months later. In the end, I bought a spare oyster from RSC.
However, to throw the spanner in the works, I prefer my TT Rootbeer more.

I owned the BLNR first; the previous generation (116710BLNR). I did like the watch immensely. When the 126710BLRO was offered, I sold the BLNR for a profit and got the BLRO at retail. The swap made sense financially for me, but also because I liked the classic colorway of the BLRO.
Now all of that said, the BLNR actually makes the most sense in terms of color scheme for what the bicolor bezel is intended to represent (day from night). I've thought about subsequently adding the BLNR on Jubilee back into my collection (as I own the BLRO on Oyster). I just personally can't justify having two of the same model of watch. |

I'm lusting for BLNR but I've just about given up on getting one from an AD...

For me, neither was a hit.
Never really cared for the BLNR and the BLRO and its “purplish” tone of the blue turned me off. They look great though, just not for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s wild because for the entire time both have been available I have been definitively in favor of the modern BLRO over the BLNR. However, after a year+ of owning both and having a vintage 16750 Pepsi in my lineup, I now prefer the BLNR. Strictly when comparing the two modern versions. I’ll take a matte dial 1675(0)over either though.
I think the BLNR is the better looking and more versatile GMT when comparing both color-ways in the current 12 series. I’m not kicking the BLRO out of bed but if forced to go down to one between them, it’s the BLNR. Obviously this is comparing the SS versions. I’ll take a WG meteorite over any of the GMTs in production. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I prefer BLRO on Jubilee, but you can't also go wrong with BLNR.

I had the 11 series BLNR for about a year when I got my BLRO on Jubilee in late ‘18. Sold the BLNR three weeks later because I knew I liked the other one better. Zero regrets 5 years later, I prefer the blue/red and I think the Jubilee was and is perfect for this watch.

Black and blue for me.The Pepsi red color on these newer watches looks strange to me.I have a 2007 16710 Pepsi and the red is very nice.IMHO.

I've had my Batgirl for about five months now, and it has left my wrist only a handful of times in that span (my watch tan is even shaped like the silhouette of the super case now...). Though it's not the platonic ideal of a watch in the same way a 1016 is, the BLNR just, to me, is a perfect expression of what the modern sports watch is and aspires to be. The Batman was also really my first "dream watch" when, after my grandfather gifted me a 1600 TT Datejust for my birthday, I (unknowingly) started collecting in 2015. Every time I look at my wrist now, whether or not I'm actually interested in the time, I'm taken back to to the time when this watch insanity started for me, and I have a moment where I'm reminded, "Oh, s**t, that's MY watch I'm wearing!"
I love the Pepsi as well, but I'd personally go the route of a 4- or 5-digit Pepsi—which I plan to do some day—instead of the 6. But wear what makes you happy, right?! (and thanks for stopping by for story time ) |

BLNR in Jubillee for me. I’m not a fan of the current blue/red hues. Even if they were more like the 5 digits too much color for me. I like color just not those
