Stainless steel jubilee band 36 mm datejust. Just like what my old man wore during his practice.

The best for a lawyer is the watch he/her prefers the best, in my opinion.

Something understated, yet really classy in SS. I'm thinking JLC, Daytona, or DJII blue dial.

For a formal dress watch I think you get the most bang for your buck from JLC. If you want something a little sportier than splurge on a DDII

How about a white dial milgauss. Add a Little flair to things.

I travel a lot (International Tax Lawyer) hence the GMT BLNR is perfect.
Occasionally I wear the DJII fluted white face.

If you are a "one watch man" then GMT is more versatile.
Do you use the BLNR for work? Not too casual looking?

Grand Reverso duo or a vintage grande date. Avoid the squadra range.

My family has 3 generations of lawyers dating back nearly 100 hundred years including 7 of my siblings. A Rolex Datejust two tone has been and remains the timepiece of choice. Good luck. Remember, where there's a will, there's a devisee!

Agreed, same applies for anyone!

I don't practice, however, I'd say go for a royal oak 15300

A lawyer opened the door of his BMW, when suddenly a car came along and hit the door, ripping it off completely. When the police arrived at the scene, the lawyer was complaining bitterly about the damage to his precious BMW.

“Officer, look what they’ve done to my Beeeemer!!!”, he whined.

“You lawyers are so materialistic, you make me sick!!!” retorted the officer, “You’re so worried about your stupid BMW, that you didn’t even notice that your left arm was ripped off!!!”

“Oh my gaaad….”, replied the lawyer, finally noticing the bloody left shoulder where his arm once was, “Where’s my Rolex???!!!!!”

Best watch for a lawyer?

In all seriousness, with your your budget, there are a few choices.

I would imagine, you would wear a suit most of the time? A leather strap dress watch might be the go here - which oozes style, class, professionalism and taste.

Browse the Jaeger LeCoultre Master series - there are a few choices here.

My fav includes:
- Master Ultra Thin Moon 39

- Master 8 Days Perpetual 40
(the stainless steel should model be around your budget - the best value, complicated perpetual annual calendar moonphase movement watch around).

Cheers.

Not at all, the watch is classy and beautiful and the blue only adds an interesting twist.
