The purchase of a Daytona is on my list to buy but there are a couple others I'd like to get first!!!

Rolex is a luxury commodity.

In terms of functionality, I hardly touch the chrono buttons, the Sub and SD do a far more graceful job in tracking time elapsed. They are also far more eligible, plus the SD has a date. All said and done, my Seiko can do whatever your Rolex can.

However, we're not debating about the functional aspect of the Daytona. It is measured not as a watch, but as a symbolic achievement. Same for Rolex.

It's a TEN THOUSAND DOLLAR stainless steel mass produced watch..................nope....But I still like it....LOL

I have loved these watches for years, I bought an E Serial # 90,s Black face with gold and stainless, and put My Sub in the safe for a while. Although at night and with gold hands and black face its not as easy to read the time. I still love the way it looks

I've had three Daytonas in the past year: 2 x White Dial and 1 Black Dial, they seem to never stick in the collection as they have always been part of a trade up or down for me.

I have not fell in love with a daytona yet but i know that most just like to have the "most sought after watch in the world" just for the bling factor. Yes i believe it is overrated and overpriced. I would rather have 2 ss rolex than one daytona! Sorry daytona lovers but I love my gmt IIC just as much as you love your daytonas!
