I haven't gotten any comments, but I did notice my old Milgauss turning a few heads on the Subway. To be fair though, i don't think it was because they knew what it was. It seemed like a knee-jerk reaction to "what is that thing with the shiny blue face and green glass????"

Nobody has ever commented, and I have been wearing a Rolex since 1982.

Seldom. That’s why I tend smile at “you shouldn’t wear Rs in the office”. Most of us worked hard to buy our watches and you should just wear them.

The watches I wear are only the kind of watches a WIS would notice. If I was looking for attention I’d rock something completely iced out, but that’s not my style.

I get a lot of admiring comments on my 16710 BLRO. Several people with whom I work have noticed it and commented. The cashier at BestBuy was also impressed and kind of enthralled by it. I let him try it on and he was like a schoolgirl getting an autograph from a teen idol.

[QUOTE=pepsiretail;10318173]Noticing and commenting are two completely different things.

Exactly. I notice all kinds of things that I may or may not comment on...

I see people noticing every once in a while....and occasionally a comment. Most compliments/comments were made when I was wearing a YG DD or Submariner, and a couple when wearing white metal pieces.

Oh yes. Eyes track my toxic GMT and my SD43. Happens everyday almost.

Ner sly zero people and the few that do arewatchenthusiasts that are always looking at watches. The general public doesn't notice or care.

Not usually, which I like. I did have someone announce to the room I was wearing a "ROLEX!". I told him he was mistaken and it was a "Steinhart!" I don't think he got the joke (or didn't believe me) but he did ease down.

+1

On a scale of 1 - 10 (1 no one notices; 10 everyone notices and occasional comments)

SD - 3

BLNR - 5

DD - 9

Ladies always seem to notice gold watches.. they might not say it but they do. White metal watches not so much.

Surprisingly my 214270 MK2 was complimented by two non-watch guys within a few months of owning it. My blue DJ41 - 0 compliments but noticeably more attention towards the wrist when wearing it.

What color? I was very close to purchasing a blue while on vacation, left with an OP39 instead. How do you feel about the overall thickness of the watch?

On the most part no one comments on what watch I’m wearing which suits me fine.

The few compliments I have received however usually come from wearing my blue dial fluted DJ2, and less so my GMT’s.

I have had a fair share of folks notice and watches. I think it depends on location. Surprised to see so many say that nobody ever notices.

I have received many compliments over the years for my rolexes and Panerai’s, once for my AP royal oak. Typically it’s my bluesy which gets the most attention. my GMT Pepsi also gets compliments - mostly from folks into watches. I think many people notice, very few comment or really care.
