He had talent no one can say otherwise however you feel about him personally. Me, I do think he was a pedo but thats MY opinion.
RIP Now GOD will judge you. |

The news is reporting that he has left the Beatles catalog to Sir Paul McCartney in his will. Looks like his family is also saying he was "given" a high dose of morphine/demerol shortly before his death. The next few weeks should prove very interesting...

I'M not sure what to feel about him.
If all the stuff we read is true!!! then he was a tortured soul. How very sad to see such a man behave the way he did at times.... I hope that stuff wasn't true !!!!.Its still a very sad and untimely death and my deepest sympathy's go to his family. Who must be distraught. The world has lost one of its greatest entertainers and a man that gave millions of people a lot of pleasure. I hope he is now at Peace. And thank him for all the pleasure he gave and the good things he did, |

As it was said before, he was a pioneer. I remember being 5 or 6 years old and listening to my Thriller picture LP over and over again while wearing my aviator sunglasses and red members only jacket. His music always brought back fond childhood memories for me and I now truly feel that a big part of that is gone.
Regardless of his choices made in his private life, folks MJ revolutionized music and changed the business forever. The world has lost an icon; someone who was in the same league as Elvis Presley and Celia Cruz. There will NEVER be another Michael Jackson. He spent 4 generations in the public limelight as a performer and entertainer. No doubt that takes its toll on you physically and mentally. To sum this all up: I just saw a clip on CNN where he was asked a few years ago if he was lonely. He gave a cold, pensive, approximately 10 second stare and replied, "Yes. I am a very lonely man." So, so sad...maybe now he will finally Rest in Peace.... |

Regardless of any personal issues he was a great musical talent. The world will be a duller place for that reason alone.

Some folks cry into their little teacups about being banned by their own fault, other smear crap all over the walls. Either way they're little, little individuals. Pay them no mind.

Why can't folks take Frank's advice? If they'd RTFT, they'd have known that things like that get people banned round these here parts.

Oh, I don't mind, Dave - this is the perfect opportunity for scumbags to reveal themselves so I can give them a trip down the great white waterslide.

Honest opinions are like orifices, Jen - everyone's got at least one but only the uncouth make an effort to display theirs to the world.

Meh, happens every once in a while. It serves a purpose in helping keep the collective IQ up on the forum.

I mod and own a forum myself so I have a bit of experience in the field (about 5 years), although my year's work would be about as much as you do in a few days lol. Those were my same thoughts... hmmm... close the thread... or let it go on and find the ones that are looking to stir things up....

[QUOTE=Jimbits76;1236896]Whatever happened behind closed doors, we may truly never know, we may have an inkling or our own ideas on what went on but we do not know for certain.
The man had the freedoms of all of us, right or wrong he was never convicted of these allegations and the truth may never rear it's head. The thing is, no matter how you feel about these allegations or his personal life or the rumours of weirdness...he is now gone! One of the most talented and awe inspiring musicians and performers of all time. He wasn't just an American...the entire world saw him as one of their own...his music is know throughout the world, his name is identifiable in all corners of the world. Jim, I really feel you conveyed the situation perfectly. Michael Jackson was a highly talented musician as well as a deeply wounded person. We may never know the ultimate "truths" about him, but he is gone and that's reality. How hard it must have been at times to live your life in the spotlight with every word and action analyzed and subject to public scrutiny. Hopefully, now that he is gone he will now know the peace which seemed to elude him during his lifetime. Poignant thoughts, Jim. Faith
