Anyone prefers BLNR over BLRO?

I too prefer blnr over blro simply due to color. The blue looks so much better on blnr, while the shade of red on blro simply is underwhelming to me. The blue on blro appears purple. I also prefer black for night assignment on bezel. Personal preference. I do like the history of blro better, although it doesn't resemble the heritage color shades as mentioned above. I assume that's due to color limitations using ceramic.

I've owned both. Currently have the BLNR on a Jubilee bracelet. For me, it's splitting hairs. I think the BLNR is the better everyday piece. Try as Rolex might, the BLRO has never really perfected the blue/red bicolor bezel. It's certainly improved over the years, but there's clearly fragility issues with the ceramic used. The BLRO is more iconic for sure and I can understand that allure. The BLRO probably works better in a larger collection, whereas the BLNR is better in a smaller collection where it will have more utility as an everyday piece.

My own personal anecdote... I did't really wear the BLRO as much as I thought I would when I first got it. The BLNR I want to wear almost everyday.

I had both for a few years (BLNR for the entire five years) until I finally decided to stick with just BLRO. Both are great, but Pepsi is probably more expressive.

As between the two ceramics, I like BLNR. I prefer the 16710 Pepsi to both of them. I personally prefer the way the red and blue are executed on the aluminum bezel insert.

I agree with this. There is something about the aluminum bezel, the size and shape of the numbers, and coloring that makes the 5 digit Pepsi (and Coke) my favorite GMTs.
Unfortunately, I had a chance to buy a used Coke in 2018 for $9000 from my AD and turned it down. I still kick myself over that one.
Of course, I was offered a new Hulk by my AD about 4 months before it was discontinued, MSRP was probably around $9000.
Turned that down.

Yep, I find the BLRO colours to garish and prefer the more subdued Blue on the BLNR.

Had a chance to try both yesterday side by side and actually liked Batman a bit better. Black and Blue colors on it are much brighter and more striking, while Pepsi’s blue and red seem somewhat washed out…

I’m not a high powered collector. Batman, Tudor north flag, platinum yachmaster, Tudor 58, rhodium yachtmater.

The most magical is the blnr Batman. I can’t explain it but of all the ceramic bezels, the Batman, to me, stands alone.

BLNR w/oyster is my favourite looking Rolex. I don't know why but I absolutely detest the BLNR w/jubilee, it's grotesque, an the BLRO looks fabulous with both bracelets. That said, I would have a BLRO over the BLNR because I own a Sub Date, BLNR is too similar, and I wouldn't sell the Sub.

Agreed it's hardly a subtle watch... but to use Grotesque as an adjective to describe a BLNR is just ridiculous.

It’s par for the course. On TRF, people use words like “traumatizing” if they have to take their watch in for repairs. “Humiliated” if they can’t get the watch they want. But “grotesque” might be the most extreme of them all.

I have the BLNR and love it to bits, but would swap it uin an instant for a BLRO. The Pepsi epitomises the Rolex GMT in my opinion, I just won't overpay for it as it would be an absolute keeper for me.

Did you try them side by side? I had the same mindset until seen them together. BLNR won by a mile…

Prefer BLNR. Slight preference for Oyster there but it is very slight…

With BLRO cannot get past the hue (purple-ish and maroon-ish). Prefer aluminum bezel…

I've tried on both (on jubilee) and it's a tough choice, but I will say the BLNR surprised me in how much I liked it person. I think that might be my choice... today...
