Looking good Paul 👏
Have you got any pics with the strap detached so we can see how it goes together?
Do you need two RM screwdriver tools too detach the strap screws? I guess the screws are similar to AP ROO i.e. in two parts that screw together.
Cheers

Only need one screw driver (Screws come out from top). Sorry for bad pics, but best I could do:

Thanks Paul - that clears that one up for me. I guess the metal base plate is only present in the NTPT case watches to give a good strong connection of the strap to the thin case material. RM certainly know how to engineer these little details which are so important for overall durability of the watch 👍

They have made a lot of progress on their strap/case interface and strap quality in the early days. I think I must have had to replace the silk-like strap on my first RM (a 5) every 3-4 months. This is going back to 2003 if memory serves.

LOL thanks, but I was just quoting John's (jschmidtdmd) post. You have to congratulate him for his watch taste.

What do you guys think about the sapphire being AR coated on both sides. I wasnt happy to learn this as with time I imagine the coating will be scratched and stained with time.

Now we are talking Roger.

I didn't know if I'd like NTPT, but after owning one, it's my favorite RM case hands down.

That's absolutely out of this world. And the case should be less than 40mm wide. Perfection.

I agree. While is VERY casual, it's a perfect color balance. The black strap is certainly appropriate in the office setting and makes the 035 a completely different watch IMHO.
