I left the workforce in 2019 and wore a Rolex from 1992 until 2019 at work, including trips to over 70 countries. Only exceptions were rare occasions on some trips abroad where I deliberately chose a watch to dress down out of concern for my own safety.
In those 27 years whether anyone noticed or not, I only recall one American ever commenting on my watch and maybe half a dozen Asian colleagues who were well aware of the brand. |

I retired in 2003, but I wore my 1675 GMT-Master to work every day before retirement.

I work from home almost entirely now, so yes, but I wore whatever watch I wanted when I was in the office. So what if it's better than my boss's watch? He isn't going to care.

Explorer for work, keeping it low key IMO but it still attracts the odd comment, maybe partly because of the finishing on it. The bracelets have a certain quality shine to them.

Wear your Rolex for YOU!!!!....You shouldn't have to worry about what others think, be proud....it's those other peoples problem if they react in any negative manner, who the person are with, family, friends and co-workers are suppose to encourage you, help you to be successful and to be a better human being!

I’m a A&P helicopter mechanic, I wear my Pepsi 16710 everyday for years. Most people don’t even notice it’s a Rolex, as smart watches are the most common thing. I do remove it when I have to reach in tight areas and when working on live electrical circuits.
It’s been drowned in jet fuel, covered in both turbine oil and hydraulic fluid. Dish soap, warm water and an old toothbrush brings back the luster. Yes, it has a few dings but those dings are mine. It’s a watch, don’t pamper it…Wear it

Was in investment banking at GS for a bit out of college (2017+) and saw many wearing PAMs (even the women! Great look btw)… not one that I expected going in

It really depends where you work. If you work in a place with lots of very low paid workers (for example on on minimum wage salaries) then it can be very crass to rub your wealth in their face. However, it's of course a personal thing and down to the individual wearer and their level of empathy.

Always wore my Rolex to work before I retired. Never gave it a second thought as I really didn't give a damn.

Either a 124060 or a 228238 every day. Occasionally, someone will make a comment on the YG DD, but almost never on the Sub.

Every day. I've been in corporate america for ~32 years. I couldn't give a sh*t what folks think, but then that is among the primary reasons my career stopped just before COO-not abiding by corporate culture...

Yup everyday. Life is short. It’s just a watch really in the scheme of things and cars houses etc are way more money. I think a Rolex can augment a man of class and if you are a douche wearing a Rolex it will augment that. So I see it as a personality magnifier

Wish I could. Unfortunately I’m not in a corporate environment and a modern Rolex would be considered ostentatious (though a lot of guys walk around with older datejusts). Plus I take my watch in and off 4-5 times per day so the chance of loss/theft/damage would be somewhat high.
