Seasons Greetings watch. It has enough red for the task.

Congrats,
this watch is on a total different league when it comes to wrist presence. The cyclops critique is something I don't understand since the cyclops is Rolex's signature. The fact that is was not on a sea dweller before was simply it was not feasible with the technology at the time. When they developed that technology they added what had to be there since the beginning. Quote:

One more striking thing that pictures can’t show well is the depth of the dial that shows the best in lowlight with lume ON.

Excellent review, so all the Mk1 dials have the Coronet laser etched in the glass?

AFAIK, all Rolex watches after approximately the early-to-mid 2000s have LECs. It's there as an authentication marker. p.s. Happy holidays, everyone

I love my SD43. Just love it. This past weekend I purchased a WGYM43. Now I can’t decide which to wear! I’m hoping that this is my most difficult decision to make in the coming year!

BVLDARI
Good call. I have actually rotated I’m the same day! I like to sleep with a watch. Always wore a watch to sleep so I can’t sleep anymore without one on my wrist. On days I wear the SD43 I switch to the YM42 later and after a good ‘charge up’ of the lume, that’s my sleeper. Honestly, can’t go wrong here with either one. Love them both. Love them all. So many Rolex’s but only two wrists! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

very nice article and beautiful photography. One little know fact about the cyclops worth mentioning: early one the cyclops was an option. One of the reason once in a while one will see a sub date with no cyclops, same with the GMT's.

I wonder what is the dial size of YM compared to the SD43. It looks bigger also the hour indexes look bigger. Can you confirm?

I personally think that Rolex has the proportions just right on the SD43. Its the perfect wearable size and the dial and markers are extremely legible without being over the top. |

Not only the perfect watch for NY’s eve but also you managed to capture it at the right timing on the dial. to

Hi all, looking to purchase a DSSD and was curious what wrist size are you folks? I’m just over 7” wrist size myself and was curious how it wears on small to medium sized wrists? Thanks

Exclusive and "delicate"
Have just ordered mine from a local shop - I am on a 2-year waiting list - Can't wait to get it on my wrist...
That is a gorgeous watch... She's all about elegant proportions, robustness and identity. The single red and cyclops add to her unique character, she's beautifully exclusive, isn't she? |
