How nice that this thread came back to life.

If I've already participated in this, chalk it up to a "senior moment."

Anyway, I already have my grail watch, a 1986 GMT Master II, but, if I could have another grail watch, I would choose a watch winder so I could alternate watches, and a no date sub.

Nice to bring this thread back.

Outside of rediculous models like Paul Newmans, DRSD, etc.

Some current models and one older one. Love that brown dial. Nipple dial or regular.

For sure a DD with champagne dial... but as a secondary watch. If I needed to pick just one for the rest of my life I think it would be a YG ceramic GMT or Sub

This is/was my dream watch (I love all vintage Submariners but limit my aspirations based on reality & affordability). Was in negotiations with my wife but I took too long and it sold

Icon6 Ma Graillllll

This particular piece is from 1991.. The fact that for about 1 calendar year, from 1990-1991, Rolex made their Explorer with black tritium markers instead of white..

For me it is the 118238 Day date in either Yellow or Rose gold with the white Mother of Pearl face.

Lovely watches and starting to be almost affordable.......

I've seen one of these GMT Masters for sale at the Grey dealer downtown Chicago where I bought my Explorer. It even had papers! If I remember corectly, I think it was priced around $30,000.

Wow! I never new of this! Maybe this is a dumb question, would the black numerals glow? I wondered the same thing about the white dial yacht master with the black markers.

Damn the explorer looks good! When I first got in to watches I thought it was a bit too small. But every time I see one, I'm getting one step closer to buying one. Such a clean and classic look. And THE best looking dial ever designed.
