Hmm, I feel the same way when I put on a dress...

Insofar as gold on watches/jewelery, I guess I'm just in touch with "my feminine side."

I have seen in the past 10 years an overall trend of people wearing jewelry that is not yellow gold. A lot of diamond settings (rings, earring, necklaces) are done in either platinum or white gold. Yellow gold seems so dated now. Maybe people prefer to color coordinate their watches with their jewelry more specifically or simply view yellow gold as a bit antiquated?

I have the Cartier love ring in white gold and diamonds, and I can't wait to pair it up with a SS Daytona.

It's befuddling to me when people call YG dated or out of style. YG has been the most sought after precious material since the dawn of time from the Inca's, Phoenicians, Pharaohs and all other cultures including the present ones. YG NEVER goes out of style in my opinion even while the trend my be toward silver metals, it doesn't mean YG is out, just not "the flavor of the fashion week". It's interesting that for such an unpopular material as many like to profess, every high end watchmaker in the world still uses it.

Wonder why they would do that, huh? Because it is timeless and classy

I personally think yellow gold is timeless, sure . . . classy, all that. But, popular trends in the US say different and have been for several years now.
