As with a lot of the guys here I usually wear Raw. This is just the Levi's and Evisu, I have a couple pair of Unbranded and Samurai kicking around here that I haven't ever taken evo pics of.

Nice! I just purchased my first set of raw RRL’s in December and they are awesome. I wish I would have sized down though 1 size in a waist size as they have stretched more than anticipated. What other brands should I look at?

I like what I’ll call “pretty normal jeans.” No holes, no whisker things, no funny business. Just jeans that can be dressed down around the house or worn to the office on casual day.

I’ve been buying mostly Alberto and Joes jeans. I have a few pairs of citizens of humanity and those tend to be pretty good too. I find The Alberto’s the best though

In my opinion, Iron Heart is the King, they stand above and beyond in quality to my Samurai, N&F, Gustin, Levi's, Armani, Diesel, all great jeans, but the comfort, fit and build of the IH is unparalleled....my opinion of course.

Good luck!

My favorites are Evisu and Samurai, but Unbranded is great for the 21oz at like $100 and some.

Iron heart are great, I just haven't gotten into them. They felt very close woven when I felt them, where the heavier weight Samurai felt more "open" if that is a way to describe it. That said they aren't on my radar for the next couple purchases either because I am an Evisu Acolyte so I don't think I will ever scratch the Iron Heart itch.

Going to have to check out a pair, much easier to scratch this etch than another watch....heard lots of great things about Evisu, time to check a pair out.

edited to add: wow, some wild embroidery on those jeans....not quite my style.

Boy you guys took this thread to another level. I thought you were going to discuss which levi you own like 501 or 505. Never heard of these jeans but if my jeans get that wore out and full of holes. In the trash they go. LOL

Yeah, I guess I should add that there are 2 different lines of Evisu. There is the awful european line and then the traditional Japanese. I wear the Japanese Denim numbers 1 and 2. Sometimes the specials or 3, but only the Japanese line.

I wear 7 for all mankind and AG. The cotton and spandex blend is so soft, I love them both!

I hope you like them! If you want to go down the rabbit hole on Selvedge Raw denim check out this article on the "Osaka 5" which were the first 5 companies that revitalized the Raw/Selvedge denim movement. Evisu is maybe the most famous of the 5, but they are all great brands.

Paige jeans are the softest jeans I’ve ever had. I’ve got AG and Fidelity as well. Paige are my favorite just because they are so soft and fit so nice.

Currently wearing Levi 511 jeans. Same size I wore in high school, except back then I could get a 33 inch inseam. Now only even numbered lengths are available.

i like regular old straight cut jeans. i used to buy levi's, now i buy texas jeans
1. they're heavy like levi's used to be
2. they're $29.99 like levi's used to be
3. they're made in the USA, like levi's used to be

https://texasjeans.com/collections/f...-5-pocket-jean

if you like the way levi's were 25 years ago, you will like these..

AG, DL and Paige are great jeans. Have many different fits, soft and slight stretch fabrics.

Just found this album of some really well faded Evisu #1. This is a great example of the Japanese line of Evisu being faded into the ground.

Thanks, I think my chances are better of getting my Patek Aquanaut then facing the wrath and scorn of having another pair of jeans land....

Haha, that is how I am for shoes. I buy a new watch (as long as it is within my watch budget) and my wife doesn't even blink. I buy a new pair of shoes (even within my budget) and my wife teases me that I am addicted to shoes.
