I’m surprised I have not seen this watch on more creative straps. I know Rubber B makes a nice green one, but I’m trying to find some cool NATO options for mine.

I fear you may well be cursed. Better get some green on your wrist to ward off evil influences.

I recently (Couple weeks back) acquired this watch . . . although i have had a desire for it since the inception of my admiration for "Rolex". I actually made a play on words (Green + Mean) when choosing my Forum Handle.

I am trying desperately to decide between this and a SD43. Not being able to try each on doesn’t help of course. Leaning LV as the variation of the dial color looks great, but the new movement of the SD43 is also a temptation. Choices! :(

Shame on anyone who disgraces a Hulk with such tomfoolery.

Say no to NATO and other such nonsense.

Both look awesome, any advice on which to acquire first, hoping I can get the other later.

It depends on a few things. If you care about MK1 dial I would go SD43 first. I personally don’t care but that’s just me. Next depends on your regular attire. This is where it gets tricky. The SD43 has a more traditional look so it goes with everything but make no mistake it is a hunk of steel on your wrist. Don’t get me wrong I mean that in a good way but it doesn’t work for me with a suit. Others wear it with a suit so just depends on your style. The LV is a great size but it’s also green, not the most neutral color. However, it only becomes a green disco ball in direct sunlight and is much more muted indoors. I wore it today with a suit and didn’t feel uncomfortable at all and I think it shows a bit of personality to have a splash of color.

Ultimately I love them both equally but if I had to pick one with no guarantee of adding another I would give the slight nod to the SD43 and have a dress watch for when I wear a suit. If I had to pick one now and knew for sure I could add another at a later date I would go LV since it is later in its production run and has a more real possibility of being discontinued (but who really knows). Hope this helps. Cheers!

It does, thanks very much. More likely to be a weekend and casual wear watch than my daily with a suit, have a nice Tag for that until another Rolex can be added.

Much appreciated!

Should also add, they are being offered at the same price to me, if that should be a factor for consideration.

Any news or thoughts on discontinuing the current green model. The 7 year run on second gen is past.

Congrats to everyone who owns this awesome piece - I’d love to own one personally but there’s zero chance of finding one in an Australian AD....

I reckon this is the ultimate holiday watch.

They get along nicely. Both very envious though when the other gets more wrist time...
