You got it at the right time and at the right price. Have a V serial "stick dial" one myself, the Super-LumiNova green lume really pops, more so than my other newer Rolexes with the Chromalight. Personally, I have already seen the "stick dial" being transacted at a premium locally, these are pretty rare.

My AD had this in the safe, a secret stash for his good customers. I was buying a birthday gift for my wife last fall, asked about the SS Daytona I knew he had.

He said the owner won’t part with that, but gave me this NOS at 5% off msrp, with a request ‘please don’t sell it, I know it’s like a check for 5 grand, but the owner would be annoyed’.

Not a chance I will sell, have always wanted a GMT, this GMT!
