My first Rolex was a two tone datejust. Still with me. The quintessential Rolex for me.

My CHNR was simply because my AD says he gets more BLNR's and BLRO's and I can get one of those next.

TT was first choice for me. I spent about 6 months researching watches before buying my only luxury watch, my TT Serti Sub. I've always preferred the look of TT; fancy enough for a tux, but common enough to wear to the beach.

My first Rolex ( after wanting one for 20 years ) was a pre owned 1996 model GMT 16713, I got it in year 2000. I had been looking for a GMT and at the time liked the 16710 Coke model. However when I was looking I came across the TT and absolutely loved it.
This was before all the SS hype that eventually followed.
at that time you could get virtually every Rolex off the shelf with the exception of the Daytona that had a waiting list even then.
A few years later I added the Tudor Chrono with the awesome blue face, also pre-owned.
Roll on to 2015 and I added a 2 year old Daytona and then the following year the 16700 from 1996.
So I can honestly say my very first choice was a two tone.

Definitely the TT Sub Bluesy all the way!!! Best looking Two Tone watch out there. Wouldn't settle for anything else.

If you are going to own a sub the only great one is tt Blue.
For a lot of years I didn't know it came in anything but blue.

I really like the bluesy. Had the new one and my 124060. To me nothing beats the all black pure original. To me the no date is not only the great sub, greatest Rolex, but greatest watch! But do miss my bluesy sometimes.

Bluesy is the best TT Rolex. Not a fan of any others really. If it’s not the bluesy, go SS or all PM.

Two tones aren't bad if they are rose gold. That is striking.

My first Rolex was a 116713, the TT GMT. After finally being in the position to pull the trigger, I discovered the TT GMT and instantly fell in love. I actually ended up selling my first one and forking over extra cash for essentially a NOS 116713.

The only way I see it leaving my collection is if I trade it for a 116718.

No it was not my first choice. I had 2 SD 43 bought over the last 18 months at MRP . One was unworn.
A friend of mine got the new two tone Sub the bluesy also at retail. During one of our conversation he told me that he wanted an SS watch but bought this and has not worn it. He Asked me if I would like to buy it and I told him I’ll swap it with the SS SD43 and pay him the difference. Got it and I love it still haven’t worn it it’s still stickerd but sized to my wrist size.

I was leaning toward a 116613LN as my fourth. Never got the call for it. I inquired about the 114060 and got it a week later. I wanted a Daytona next and was interested in the white dial 116500 or 116503. The 116503 was in stock. I liked it and it was available. I really like the combination of the steel and gold.

I'm on the list for a two-tone skydweller. It's my first choice skydweller. It takes the classic two tone datejust design to an entirely new level.

I have a bluesy, which is my favorite watch, even more than my 116610 and the 16610lv I parted with. Or my day-date even.

Cerca 1997, two Rolex on the ADs countertop. 1 x SS Zenith Daytona white dial and 1 x TT Daytona white dial. My excuse is that in the 90s blingy gold was king. I bought the TT. I loved the watch for decades and still have it. Would I have bought the TT today? Probably not. But back then, it was hip and way more desirable than the SS.

If you don't count solid gold ones (DD for me) then yes, TT DJ41 was my first choice. Champagne/Jubilee.

Depends on the model, personally I’ve bought as first choice for Daytona, Submariner and DJ41 also might do soon for a SkyD

I just ordered a Root Beer. I don't think there is a more unique better looking Rolex on there.
