Messing with the hue of the current LVC isn’t necessary. The watch is perfect.

Compelling evidence of two identical watches? They look the same…. At least on my phone/to my eyes.

I'll just repeat what I posted in the other thread, here:

I spoke to Adrian about this. He didn't say this stuff based on his own observations. He was filming his video in the Rolex booth and was saying to the camera that nothing happened in the Sub line for 2023. A senior Rolex employee interrupted him and told him about the bezel color change. He told Adrian that sometimes Rolex likes to do these little "Easter eggs," as he called it, and this is their nod to the 70th anniversary of the Sub.

I trust Adrian on this. He said he also got the same line from Cole Pennington, formerly of Hodinkee, recently moved to work for Tudor.

Adrian wouldn't invent this just for clicks on one video. He has too much of an investment in his channel to do that kind of thing. He's actually at W&W on a press pass and has built himself a very good reputation with the maisons. Recently, he was the first ever member of the media to get exclusive access to Tudor's manufacturing, for example.

I have to say, as this sounds true, I don’t get it. I can’t imagine wanting a lime green watch. I had the 12LV, the green was enough, at times it looked lighter green in the light, but man lime green? Don’t get it. The older one was better if only one watch, smaller collection or a big collection. This new lime one needs to be in a deep eccentric collection.

Having had the hulk for a few years I always felt it was 'a hulk without the bling' as he bezel is exactly the same, so I think giving it's own identity with a shade more reminiscent of the og kermit is a great move

The 70th anniversary LIME green will match very well with the 50th anniversary sub !

A "must get" piece to add to the collection

Now that explains... no wonder I can see more than usual MK1 being off-loaded in pre-own shops locally these few days

Agreed. This green is perfection and closest to ‘Rolex green’ imo… and now collectible as only a 2 year run.

LV MK1 had a 3 year run: 2020, 2021, 2022.

FWIW, I stopped by my AD today and they said this is true. Rolex changed the LV color to a “brighter green.”

We shall see but I’m betting it’s true.

Yep. Very late 2020 though. The new watches weren’t announced until September in 2020 due to Covid and I believe they hit stores the following month.

So more like two year and a half years, cumulatively.

Makes me wonder if they’ll revert back to the Starbucks color after this year

Sure but 2020 was only Q4. Remember there was no W&W in 2020 and releases were around Sept 2020.

Both nice! It's gonna be interesting to see the new one live. I love the dark green bezel on mine.

Everyone said that LV have a different bezel color and maybe it’s true but if you compare BLNR photos from Rolex website (before W&W) and after you can see different bezel shade in this model too. So, I’m wondering why BLNR have then also different shade blue in the bezel…

The LV bezel issue is grabbing a lot of attention in our community as for now there’s 3 other threads on the forum discussing the same issue

It most likely is different but who cares!
you liked your 12-LV when you bought it. It still looks amazing.
Like when you wife changes her shade of lipstick she’s still the same.
