Mike, any indications of additional dial colors for the S version of the Passage de Drake? Would love to see a white dial option in the smaller size.

With Watches and Wonders upcoming, and Czapek possibly opening up the books for Antartique orders again, I suspect they will have some new models and dial options. I'll be interested to see. I feel Czapek gets the concept of a luxury item and the service and expectations that are coupled to that; given this, I don't think they can afford to over promise.

I've been having a chance to muse over the wearing of my new Antarticque, and its comparisons to other popular integrated bracelet steel sport watches. My main observation is that it wears very low profile and sleek on the wrist. This plays into the bracelet design. I've heard comments about some disappointment about the bracelet compared to others in the class. It is clear to me that there was a specific design plan to have a rather sleek and angular theme unifying the case and bracelet. This is in contrast to an RO or Overseas, where there are more bulky bezel designs that are then extended out over the bracelet. I noted one post discussing the Czapek bracelet not being as well finished due to the lack of chamfering. Interestingly, the entire inside of the bracelet is chamfered for wearing comfort. The bracelet is finished very well; there has just been a conscious design concept to keep the external angles sharp and edgy. Different strokes for different folks. Pick based on desired heft and styling, not with any step down in these sports watches.

I put my order in for the antartique 38.5 glacier blue yesterday, I have been drooling over this for way too long. I know it will be a long time till I get it but it will come, I'm a patient man!

Is anyone who placed their order for 40.5mm limited edition salmon dial either directly through Czapek or their AD still waiting to get their allocation or all the orders have been filled? Thank you.

Mike - is there any way to get better intel than "all orders committed to be delivered in 2023 will be delivered in 2023"? I am very sympathetic to the supply chain and labor issues that plague not only Czapek but many others in the industry. But I suspect Czapek knows whether they are running closer to two months behind or six months behind, right?

I thought I had seen quite a few of the double index salmon dial in the open market. Surprisingly not a single one with the 12 numeral index though.

Thank you Mike. Thought I was one of the first ones to put down my name for these but I guess not. They have been trickling in for the past 1-2 months on this forum and Instagram so hopefully soon.

Question for current Antarctique owners - how would you rate it as a daily driver/one watch collection? I've never owned a haute horologie piece so not really sure what to expect, but I currently rotate between an Omega SMP 300, Speedmaster and Longines Zulu Time GMT for the most part. I love the idea of having one watch that I wear more or less every day for 50 years or so and I think this watch could be it. That said, could you see the Antarctique serving said function, or do you think I would be wise to keep some other options and perhaps not expect so much from this piece?

It’s been my daily wear for 2 years. It’s been on three continents, I cycle with it, ski with it, have snorkelled with it, deal with four children wearing it (youngest 2 months), have had it on to black-tie events… it’s definitely absolutely viable as a “one watch” collection.

It does appear to be just as flexible a daily as a sub or any other watch really. Id prbably still avoid activities with hard impacts since it uses the "fingers" instead of full bridges but it seems tough

Czapek did a nice job designing the presentation box as a functional watch storage/display case. There will be a poor return on the time invested on this. Once the watch goes on, it rarely comes off. Even if there is strong competition in the collection. The display box goes empty....
