How can you tell that none of your watches in your collection have a problem if you dont test them at all ?

Neither does an average of more than 1 second a day. It's enough for me...

Is that after a full wind to start with and what position at rest at night.

Always the same for all of your watches ?

But ...... I also have Co-Axials in my meagre collection.

I ensed up buying a very much more expensive Timegrapher, very similar to those used by watchmakers and manufacturers.

It handles just about any watch you can imagine and then some. Its super accurate and gives you all the information that you could possibly need.

The Weishi is back in a box, unused, and in a cupboard.

Trust me. There is no manufacturers using a Weishi Timegrapher.
And no, it is not similar, it's very far away from a genuine Witschi.

Worn during the day, put aside at night with the lace facing up or with the shield facing up.

Would you send a 3230 Sub to RSC under warranty for regulation if it’s running consistently at -2 s/day regardless of position? I don’t wear this Sub daily so I can wait. A downside is that the case would have been opened and serviced. Thoughts?

+/- 2 is within spec from Rolex, I believe. Wear it more often and that daily rate might actually improve.

Nah I wouldn’t let anyone touch a watch running like that.

Only get concerned if one day all of a sudden its -5 when you’ve treated it the same as always. At that point worth getting someone to throw it on a timegrapher.

Can you let us know how old your eight watches are and what movements they have?

I’ve just had a Nov 2021 3255 just become unable to hold 200 after 24 hours crown down. It’s timing has drift from -2 to -4 from when new. So for me I’m at 5 of 8 being problematic.

Agreed
Let sleeping dogs lay and it's just fine for now.
There's no point looking for trouble either.

For that matter Rolex won't touch it unless it meets the unacceptably low amplitude threshold anyway

Out of 8 with the 32xx mechanism, I have 4 left. Two from 3235 and two from 3285. The oldest is just over a year old.

Okay thanks for that clarification. So the actual known sample here is four.

Of the four you have if any of them all of a sudden change timing pls report back. We would all appreciate it.

For me the problems all started 6 months to 1 year into ownership.

Hope they’re all fine.

Ok. Only the new Pepsi does -0.5 seconds / day and needs a few days of continuous wear to be positive. Werki 32xx lose time on the last day of the power reserve, right at the end. But that's their specificity. In the first 65 ~ 68 hours, they run perfectly, and in the last two hours, they slow down slightly, about 3 seconds. When counting the average, it's still perfect.

Yeah timing at the end of the power reserve isn’t of concern at all. Does sound like your movement is working well which is all we want really.

32xx movement problem poll and data thread

To all who do not remember or never read the first post.

We've got several other threads talking about this movement, but the goal here is to have a single source of real data, both the poll question - has your movement had an issue, yes/no - and actual timegrapher data to give us a feel for "normal" amplitudes.

Hello again everyone,
Just wanted to give you an update :)

I picked up my first ever luxury watch (therefore first Rolex) at Friday - 126610ln. It was a lovely experience, I even got a Rolex suede travel pouch as well as a Rolex branded dark green cap. I am totally in love with it, I may be experiencing what many people call the ”honeymoon phase”…

I know this is a thread about the performance of the 32xx movements and I know it is the most interesting after a year but it is now doing -1 spd. Can try to give an update every month if that is something people would be interested in.

Congratulations John!
As I wrote before: personally, I would ask the AD for a full set of 5-position timegrapher data after full caliber winding, only to keep it as a reference data set for later. Good luck and enjoy your new Submariner.

I don't have a way to measure the precise data discussed in this thread, though I thought I'd share my experience after a month of continuous wear. I picked up my SubC Date brand new from my AD on 6/27/22 and have been wearing it 24/7, occasionally taking it off for showers. It has lost an average of .5 seconds per day, sitting about 12-13 seconds slow over the month I've been wearing it.

My other Rolexes trend more in the other direction, gradually gaining time, which I actually prefer as I'd like my watch to be fast rather than slow. Nonetheless, I'm satisfied with the accuracy of this watch and will keep monitoring it.

At an average loss of -0.5 s/d there will be positions where the movement runs at +.

Find one and use it as a resting position?

I would not expect you you have issues for quite a while but if it does happen you will clearly notice it.

What was your precise beat error?
-2/+2 sec/day?
