Because I am not a fan of gold, I would never purchase the gold Presidential. Now if someone was to give me one, I would gladly take and do my best to sell it for the most amount of money I could get an then get me what I really would like such as a Sub no date, Milgauss, or Explorer 2, and then have a little left over for a nice dinner.

Could never see myself with a Presidential/DD. Just not my style. Air King, Daytona, and even the Explorer I could see myself buying.

I'm big on the dive heritage watches and the GMT.

Deepsea, it's too thick for me. Also, anything with diamonds. If I hit the lottery I would gladly wear most any of the other models.

Air king (past and present)
YMII
most newer DJ models
DSSD (way too big)

only to highlight a few. Seems YMII is pretty popular in this thread

1. Cellini
2. Datejust
3. President
4. Day/Date
5. Ym2

Like someone said, if any of these were given to me, I'd put it on Craigslist for sale. Nothing against the watches, just not my style whatsoever.

YM - never liked the bulky raised bezel.
New AK - looks more like a car speedo.
DJII with smooth bezel - bezel look out of proportion/unfinished.
Also not a fan of roman or wave dials.

Air king new/old
Daytona had one traded it after 2 months
Anything under 40mm looks like I'm wearing my wife's watch

I wouldn't get a Skyweller on bracelet.
Fluted bezel and oyster bracelet together are a no no for me.

They're not bad, actually. What's bad is if they fall off that narrow railing and hit concrete at the bottom. That would suuuuuck.

I'm a big fan of the YM2... Love that duo!!

I'd say never would I drop the coin on the following:
Milgauss
Explorer 1
Air King
Cellini

I think almost all of the others have their place. Unlike many of you, however, If any of the aforementioned fell into my lap, I would try to wear them and gain an understanding of the particular model and see if it grew on me. I used to think that the DJ2 was tacky, and now I own one and absolutely adore it and have a true appreciation for it. This only came after randomly trying one on as the result of a tastefully pushy salesperson.

Cellini
Sky Dweller
Yacht Master II
DDII/DJII
SubC
GMTIIC

Platinum/WG models - If I wanted fiercely expensive discreet I'd get a Patek, AP VC etc.
I'm sure there are more.

Anything PM or two-tone. Rolex, to me, are tool watches and should be SS.

If I had those two, I wouldn't ever need another watch! Love the pic, thx for sharing!!

To the OP point: I don't think there's any that I truly dislike, but there are some that would definitely get more wrist time.

Hmmm...to be honest, the OP 36mm and the new ceramic Daytona in black are probably the only two current Rolex models I'd consider.

I think there are many more watches that I wouldn't buy than I would. But that's why they make so many models. There's something for everyone, from a $2000 pre owned air King to a $250k+ masterpiece.

I prefer lume, so sticks batons markers circles Arabic as long as I can see at night.
I prefer a Sunburst dial as I have enough black.

Needs to be at least 40mm.

So of those, the new air king is gross.
I'll never buy a plain OP, I prefer tool watches or my next purchase being DD or SD so Milgauss is out, too.

Yacht-Master bezel is ugly. The YM2 is not as bad - assume I'll never buy the TT SS RG YM2.

I would not buy any Rolex larger than 40 mm. Nor would I buy any watch for which I couldn't pay cash.
