The history of my Rolex.
Hi, New to the forum and I'm wondering if anyone can help me to get some history on my watch.
My Dad gave me this watch for my 30th birthday 7 years ago after having it himself for many years, It was given to him by a client of his and it is an Oyster Perpetual Datejust in stainless steel with a gold dial, on the dial it has the Royal crest of Qatar and some arabic print. Could anybody shed some light on how many of them were issued and the value? Its serial number is - R415759 Pic enclosed but please excuse the face which has now been replaced. Many thanks. |

The serial puts it at about a 1987. the dial may say which organization commissioned the dial imprint, although it is unreadable in this photo....
Beyond that, there isn't much from that single picture..

The dial may have been made for a certain client with that crest. It may be custom, because I can not recall a SS DJ with a gold dial. More pics would be appreciated. BTW, what is the model number on the watch?

The watch model number is 16014 case design and serial is R415759
Regarding the face I used the wrong term, the glass is scratched and rough and needs to be replaced, the face is perfect. |
