About to buy a 14060M
hi my name is Joe and this is my first post here, i felt like saying hi. Im a 25 year old WIS from Sussex in the UK and im about to purchase my first Rolex and really love the 14060M
For me This watch absolutly sings Rolex and i love the simple dial and lack of date as i also have a Panerai 112 and it too has a beautiful simple dial. i have been somewhat worried buy people talking of the bracelet and clasp being cheap and like a 'tuna can' so i wanna ask this is it THAT BAD? also i love seeing pictures of this watch! anyway looking forward to your replies! The bracelet is perfect. It just works (and many will tell you they have had decades of wear without incident).

granted its on my wife's wrist now...I will get it back...I love classics  oh wanted to add...the bracelet though not SEL...feels right...and wears well with the watch...

Hi Joe,
Welcome to TRF. The 14060M is my everyday wearer. I wear it on a NATO mainly for safety reasons as I do electrical work and find the nylon strap less 'conductive'.  I had an 'incident' many years ago with a SS bracelet and 24 volts dc - could have been a bad situation.No date doesn't bother me as I have that info + the weather, google, TRF etc on my iphone. I like the symmetry of the dial and it is one of the most accurate Rolex watches that I have. I highly recommend it.  Some pix for you.

Great watch, simple, clear dial. I did not want the bubble up top or the larger Sea Dweller, which would be my second choice.

Hi
I'm from Surrey and have just bought a new 14060M to go alongside my Sub Date. Both are fantastic watches. The 14060M is slightly Retro by virtue of its slightly older style bracelet and, because of this, the presence of lug-holes in the case. |

I first heard the reference to the "tuna can" clasp on Sheldon's site (minus4plus6) and I never believed it to be any kind of "bash" against the old bracelet. I have since carried on that description as I find it to be an accurate analogy, it is merely for the sake of comparing and contrasting between the older bracelets and what many of us to be the technological marvel in the new series of Rolex bracelets and clasps. Would I pass up a great deal on an older bracelet Rolex over this? Absolutely not, that's silly.

The 14060M is a great watch. A true classic! And dont worry about the bracelet, it might feel a bit light, but its really very very comfortable
