Don't ever ask me about....

Well we all seem to be experts in our fields of work, at least enough to be able to afford a nice watch and a computer at the very least. So we are doing something right.

But what do we do wrong? What is the one thing that people should NEVER go to you for? What skill so befuddles you that if your life depended on it you would sell your organs tomorrow? What can you NOT do and you are not ashamed to admit?

For me it's cooking. If it fits in a microwave and has step by step directions I can cook it, but that's as far as it goes. A spatula in my hands is more dangerous than a loaded gun.

And you?

I have never been a bad cook, because I don't even try. For me it is mechanical things like cars and such. I have a father and brother that can take engines apart and throw them back together, I do well to put gas in the tires and air in the gas tank.

I'm hopeless with cellphones, computers, DVDs and such shit!! Give me a complicated Rolex anyday!!

Would you believe I don't own a cellphone, never owned a cellphone and never want to own one....ever. Pain in the ass....too damn fiddly with those tiny buttons and my huge fingers. Give me a large-buttoned land-phone any time.

Brain surgery. I never could get the hang of where to cut. I know it's supposed to be on the dotted line, but I couldn't figure out where to draw it.

And besides, my hands shake too much for that fine work.

I'm not very good with animals. (But we have an expert in JJ anyway right? So no worries. )

I'm also not very good at suffering fools. I really should have more patience with the morons of our society and I'll try harder next year, I'm sure they are on the increase. Oh, I read 50% of the UK population are useless at mathematics. Seems half of us Brits cannot add up to the level of an 11 year old.

I'm also quite hopeless with young children. They seem to look at me in pity when I try and interact with them. Poor buggers!

Nothing! I'm perfect and know everything

Seriously, the list is long, very looooooooooooong. But, I'm probably worst at fixing/building things. My entire toolbox consists of a Leatherman tool a butter knife and an old hammer . I have to hire someone for even the simplest of repairs or handyman work

Not a bad thing to do CJ, I went t install a ceiling fan where I had a light bulb. Easy, right? Nope. Took off the light and had 12 wires. The wall switch was off but I succeeded in blowing the break, accompanied by a blinding spark. t least when other people do stuff you can point the finger at them if it does not work right.

You might have noticed,
The nice smooth edges, the symetrical ends of the wrapping
, the frugal amounts of packaging tape in just the right places, paper tight around the package, the strap nicely secure with tissure paper, ........ NOT
I ran out of duct tape, or it would have been a real bugger to open.

For my daughters Xmas present, the standing joke is, I must use duct tape on the present i get for her.

For the one she gets me, I tell her to use newspaper. No use wasting expensive wrap. It just gets thrown out.

I know a few corners in toronto where package deals are encouraged.

Believe me, when I find out, I'll write a book.... might as well commercialize my ground-breaking success.

BTW, a buddy gave me a birthday present years ago, wrapped in progressively smaller boxes, each box was 100% covered in small pieces of celo-tape. It took me 45 minutes to unwrap it. And it wasn't worth it.

Reading peoples minds.

Seriously...sometimes people expect you to be a fecking mind reader and know every single thing that goes on, and get p!ssed off when you don't.

For god's sake, COMMUNICATE!

If there is something I should know, or should have done. Then tell me about it and I will, but don't even think about getting all narky and annoyed if I never knew. Ignorance is one thing, but stupidity is a totally different ball game.

Man this really gets me......

I am not very sporty... actually I am lazy... but most of all I dont know when to shut the hell up - I am too opinionated at times and always shoot off my mouth before thinking.

At the very least people always know where they stand with me...
