YM Mid-Size or Lady
I am considering the YM SS & YG and trying to decide if I want the Lady YM or the Mid-Size YM. Any ladies out there have a Mid-Size Rolex? Do you like the size? Anyone know if the band on the mid-size can be sized to a 7 - 7 1/2 without removing links? Is the mid-size too big for a lady? Would like some opinions.
Thanks |

We meet up again!! For starters, I personally do not like the mid-size (35 mm). I've always considered it a kinda inbetween size which is neither here nor there. Probably one that's too big for a lady and too small for a man. I'd much prefer the 29 mm lady's size which, in all fairness, is still the largest of the lady's models, the Datejusts being 26 mm and the no-date lady's being a petite 24 mm. My wife wears a 29 mm and it suits her perfect....although I think she'd be still better off wearing a 26 mm DJ on her small wrists. I think I'd advise the 29 mm and also go for the YG. Ladies do tend to wear a lot of yellow gold, so the TT YG would go well with virtually all jewellery. JJ

Thanks - Can you explain the TT YG? Is that the all gold band? I was looking at the stainless steel and gold band.

Thanks - I didn't realize how much bigger the Lady YM was. I think I will actually like that size better.

If your wrist is 7 - 7.5, I say go mid-size. I think the mid would look great on a woman, esp if it's a YM.
My wife wears a full DJ (36mm) and it looks great - the full size YM might be to big for you, but I bet the mid will be great. Go try them both on and be open to both sizes. |

I thought the lady size YM was the perfect size watch for my g/f when she was shopping for one a few months ago. She bought the mid size YM, and I really didn't like it. I realized that I was wrong after a while. The watch really looks good on her wrist. See the pic
She's now wearning a 40mm Panerai, and you know what? It looks good as well. |

Avalon that is a magnificent YM!! Love the white dial. I was eyeing one off in the AD at Crown Casino in Melbourne yesterday, I think it was the WG version with the silver dial... the red hands look great on it!! Expensive watch tho and way outta my league I am afraid!!!
I'll start saving for one now for my 50th b'day |

OK JJ - The first name is Jan. I am 99% sure I will go with the mid-size. I hope to try one on soon. No ADs where we live (in the middle of the Sonoran desert - hence the name desertdogs) so have to wait until I get to a larger city. In the mean time I will keep looking at the pictures.

Mrs Mini was watching some show last night & they were talking about Xmas gifts for women.
The hot thing this year is Men's watches for women. Mrs Mini was very pleased that she was ahead of this trend ( with her 40 & 44MM Panerai's)

Hmmmm. Now you've got me thinking about a mid-size. My DH always likes a woman with a large watch. Have you tried one on yet?

I have not tried one on yet but I bought a Fossil that is about the same size to see how I liked it and I have decided to go with the mid-size. I like larger watches. I think I will go with this one.

From a man's perspective...I would say the mid size YM would look nicer on a womens wrist.Just more of an statement and substance. It also depends on the colour tone.SS/plat,defenitely the mid size,TT,smaller or mid size and in YG,the smaller version, not the mid.......

Very nice! So when are you going to buy it? I just saw this one on ebay -- I'm the market for the ss/plat. If my DH had his way, I'd wear a 40mm! But I'm petite and I don't think I want something that big. However, I used to wear his GMT all the time and I quite liked the feel of a heavy watch.
