Official announcement of price increase expected on Jan 20th
Hi ,
As I was just around the corner of my AD this morning I decided to pop in and get a free coffee . They have Nespresso ... what else ? So I broke him the news about having bought a DJ2 in the US ( Davidsw ) and he said : well done , what else can I say ? He also said that Rolex Spain has not shipped any watch to him (nor to other AD's he is in contact with) since the second week of december . Spanish AD are all invited to Rolex Spain in Madrid on wednesday 20th but no specific reason was given . He said by experience these gatherings are only held for two reasons : presentation of a newly released model or price increase . Given that nothing new is coming out till Basel .... we can safely say it will be price increase . Spain will raise with 3% its VAT rate ( 16 to 19 ) on the 1 of june . So he expects that Rolex wants to fit in the price increase well before the VAT increase so both do not come at once . He is not a happy camper , but I told him the clients won't be either |

Glad I bought mine before Xmas. Retail price at 15% vat - £4360. Be interesting to see by how much they will raise prices. Will it be a Europe wide increase or individual price rise per Country??
