So who's the youngest Daytona owner in this forum?
Just curious, who'se the youngest owner of this iconic and mystical time piece?
I'm 36 this year.

Well, the reason I came out with this thread is because I've always regretted not getting my Rolex when I was 18 so those that gotten your grails at a very young age, hope you get to cherish them as much as I do now.

I've owned 3. Think i got my first when i was 22 and kept that a year or so. Picked up another at a good price just to sell on 3 or 4 years ago. Last was when i was 29 and i finally got one new after waiting years but had to sell that too as i cannot abide the new style with the engraved rehaut and that's all they had for me. Waited all those years for a new one just for me then couldn't even keep it, only slightly annoying.

Mine was my father's. He passed it down to me on my 21st birthday. That was in 1988!

22 when I got my SS Daytona. Short of dating myself, it had a Zenith movement.
I bought it after saving for 6 month after my first real job. Then I sold it because it was smarter to pay off my student load (even if the interest was low for its time). 8% interest was low for its time, can you believe it? Then I hadn't had the itch to buy another one because nothing would trump the experience of buying a Daytona with my hard earned money for the first time. |

Had one when I was 24 (sold it), then again at 27 (sold it), then again at 31 (traded it)... Don't know why it has never stuck around.... Only need one chrono in my collection and the Breguet does an excellent job of filling that need. Something about a chrono without a date...
Before you start flaming, this is just MY opinion, and the Daytona is a beautiful watch, without a doubt. Would love a WG one with the meteorite or black arabic dial. Will own one at the right price eventually.
