Watchmaker Forensics: A Rolex Case Back

Watchmaker Forensics: A Rolex Case Back

Is there anyway to confirm a Rolex Service Center marked this case back around 1-95?
To me it looks like initials and a date.

Forensics: A Rolex Case Back

Thanks

When Rolex marks a case you know it's from Rolex. New York I've seen RLXNY or RLXD for Dallas. What they do in other countries don'T know. Rik

After purchasing the 16710, I had the watch pressure tested at the Beverly Hills RSC. Upon inspecting the original caseback, one can see the watchmakers inscriptions indicating when and where the watch was opened.

The inscription reads as follows: RBH 5/07 3/008 7380
The RBH (Rolex Beverly Hills) makes sense, as does the 5/07 (date). The other numbers are Greek to me.

Thanks Rik,
Has that practice been done for many years back to and before 95? I just find it very odd that after Rolex dissected my watch and the warranty card they stated they did service it. They only did so after doing who knows what with the warranty card and watch. I suppose that could be RTX but looks more like BT? to me
Thanks

Most of the time it's just the watchmakers initials and date..

As I have replied in a few previous posts, when you become a member of The American Watch and Clock Institute you get a watchmaker number for life Mine is 10^RD the little mark inbetween is actually the delta symbol don't have one on my computer. When I do a service it's marked 10^RD then 3/9/10 then coa t/c/ax/2g's/g/d/wt. Which is clean oil adjust tube crown axle 2 gears gaskets detail watertest and I fit this all in a space less than a 1/4 of an inch. you need a 10 power loop to see it,and it's something that has been done for hundreds of years. In the case of the random numbers it probably correlates to an invoice number of some kind IMO. Rik
