Air King Date?

Hello,
To me this looks 'ok'.
Do any of the big brains here have a view?
Any help appreciated.
thanks,
Piers.

not professing to be a "big brain" but my view would be to pass on this. I have purchased a number of Rolex from ebay and so far have been OK with every one.

I do not have a warm and comfortable feeling with this sellers feedback. there is no evidence of having sold Rolex before and most of his feedback is not recent, lot of private listings which always puts me off.

Good description given of the watch, model, serial no. etc but only one photo?

Each time I have purchased EVERYTHING looks good and I always ask a couple of questions first not necessarily to find an answer but to find out how he responds and how quickly. I like to feel comfortable that the communications lines are open BEFORE sending him/her $$k.

I would be looking elswhere. Good luck.

Not a "big brain" either.

IMO listing looks good. If you scroll down, there are 12 pictures...quite a package here!

Lovely watch. The AK date is a favourite of mine i must admit and that is a good example if you don't mind the engraving.

Indeed. These AKD's don't show up very often and this one looks like a gem with all the dressings. If I didn't already have one I'd be very interested.

hi there. i dont know the seller so i cannot comment on your deal... however, i know Air King Dates very well. i owned one of these exact models complete with the coca cola inscrioption on the back. they are pretty common in Quebec. all look like this with the gold bezel. mine was 100% legit. you should also do a search of the "Explorer Date". same ref. number etc. i still have the box and papers from my old AK date - for a Mr. Pierre Masse. i sold the watch and kept the box, papers and tag. there is another AK date being sold on ebay by the following dealer "general.omega". i have done much business with him over the years and he is a great guy. harry in montreal

Um... interesting..possibly..the AKD
for my 1st real Rolex. - Except for the engraving. I guess that could be polished off?
I wonder what's a reasonable offer?
