Are these colors "original" on a daytona?
hi guys, im new to the forum and am about to pull the trigger on a two tone 116523 daytona. i was browsing through the rolex websites and some of the dealers inventory online and realised that the official rolex website only lists one design for the TT model (white dial with no diamond bezel) whilst on the grey dealers websites, there are close to about 15 different designs for the TT
They have a huge variety of dial color choices with/without diamonds. Im eyeing in particular the black dial with diamonds or the blue dial with arabic numerals. I am wondering though if these dials come stock with the watch from the factory or do the dealers keep maybe 1 or 2 pieces of the watch in stock and then fit these aftermarket dials depending on the color choices the customer wants. Is this a valid reason for concern? Thanks!! |

There are a lot of dials available for The TT Daytona..
The Website is not their catalogue of available models/options... it's just a sampler..

thanks for the link! from the pictures, i see that there are indeed such dials available
now if i may rephrase my question is there such thing as an original color the 2 tone models ship with? or does it not matter for the dials to be swapped out (as long as they are in the catalog) im not sure if i got the point across but i hope you get what i mean! |

No, the TT does not ship in a "standard" color, although I think that by experience the Dealer and Rolex know which combinations are the most popular..
You should be able to order any combination you desire from their catalogue...but frequently you can get a better price on what they have in stock...

thats great to hear thanks for the reply! i was a little concerned about getting one with a unique dial as i didnt really want to get a "modified" rolex
good to know that all the dials in the catalog are original |
