My 5508 on NATO

When I first acquired my 5508, it did not have a bracelet, so I purchased a few NATO straps. I was immediately able to source a vintage USA riveted band, so I never tried it on a NATO. I was always unsure about the watch on a strap and always felt it was "proper" on a metal band". So today, I finally "broke" down and installed a "real Bond" NATO strap on it, and I'm really glad I did....very comfortable to wear.

I also have a solid black and the classic black/grey....I think that the bracelet won't be seeing much action.

Actually, I prefer yours as it is original! Mine has been fully restored and now has a Rolex service dial.

That's a beautiful 5508 in stunning condition. Seem like we share the same taste.

Here's my 6536 again. The 'real Bond' is very comfortable indeed.
Congratulations on having such a fine watch and thanks for sharing!

Martin

Great look on the 5508. Nato's definitely add to the aura of that watch.

Thanks Buz, I totally agree. It does look great as well on a riveted oyster band, but there's a certain charm it has on the NATO.

Just beautiful! Quintessential 'Bondish'. And I'm gritting my teeth because I'm green with envy
