Watch Winders

I am about to have a third automatic watch and I was thinking about having a Watch Winder to keep them all running. Can anyone give me some advice on watch winders. I was searching around and they seem a bit expensive. Is it worth having one? Does it maintain the quality and precision of watch?

Thanks!

I don't believe the winders can enhance a watch's performance. The watch I wear daily is just as accurate as the ones I keep in my winder.

My opinion:
1) winders are not necessary - your watch will not break just because you allow it to wind down.
2) winders are convenient - if you do not like winding and setting your watch every time you wear it, a winder is for you.
3) a winder's best quality is silence - the last thing you want is to have the winder keep you awake all night.

Hope this helps

I heard that no winder is better than cheap winder. Of course I had to hear that right after I got my cheap dual winder from amazon.com for $60. Now that winder is just sitting there I don't know what to do with it.

What's the difference on the rotator between a cheap winder and a expensive one?

i got an orbita siena winder.... however i got it on the cheap. I had a bunch of united miles, and united has a 'merchandise' section you can redeem miles. I paid ~50k miles for the orbita siena. considering I wasnt going to use the miles for anything else it was a good deal.

If you have frequent flier miles... that is an option...
