Bought this watch just too see what it was like..

I was goofing around online..and found this watch, bought it based on looks and the fact I have wanted a skeleton watch for a little bit. Also, haven't worn a watch with a leather band in about 10 years and I have been planning a Panerai purchase for my next watch so this would help me adjust to the leather band.
This watch is huge...43mm I think..and looks really cool in person. it has a clear caseback(i didn't take a pic cuz its not easy to take off because the band is so thick).
We will see how it holds up over the next few weeks as this is the first day with it on. Its an automatic but has no manual wind. Im really impressed with this, esp with the box and info that came with it...I hope you all enjoy!!

Not bad for $60 I think!

So far the accuracy is spot on...although the first couple days it would stop at night when it was in the box ...i havent had to set it in 36 hours as of now and is within a few seconds of the clock i used to set it.
It wears pretty good esp after the band has broken in for a few days,I really can't even tell its on my wrist most of the time.
So far so good!

I've owned this one for several years now and I'm still amazed at it's accuracy, toughness, and luminousity as well.

REGATTA

I'm considering this one next. I need a gold watch just for special occasions and didn't want to spend a small fortune... BTW they do come in a variety of finishes including steel.

ECLIPSE II

You can get either of these for well under $200.00. Check out Amazon.com.

this watch company should write TRF thanking them for even making it to this forum.

And why is it you feel this way? Who is the "them" you refer to sir? Do you mean the membership, our membership in and of a public forum? A forum which happens to include several "Non-Rolex" watch sections. If your suggestion rings true then there are MANY other brands that should be doing the same... especially SEIKO. If I see one more "Monster" thread I'm calling Dr. Jack Kervorkian and requesting his assistance.

Seems like a simple recognition of advertisement of some sort. Albeit a bit tongue in cheek.

BTW: I hear there is a "service" in Switzerland similarly situated to that which Kevorkian provided.

Yes, I'm familiar with that "service", but if it's done in Switzerland it'll cost at least 20 times more than what it's worth...

I'm sorry... was that too "tongue in cheek"

I like the Moster threads as much as I like the watch... no BS. I've participated in them as well.

What I was respondinging to was an off-hand remark by member tripleC. It implied that perhaps this brand was not deserving of this forums consideration.

I only responded to this thread because I like Sturhling and their line and wanted you to know my positive experience with them. Not unlike so many proud Monster owners have done... without sarcastic remarks... and rightfully so.

No one here is "advertising" for any particular brand... just sharing our experiences and enthusiasm for timepieces.

And as per usual the smart who makes a comment that contributes nothing of any importance to the thread slinks off into the abyss without reply.

But hey, it's only a watch forum... and I shouldn't have allowed myself to fall victim to a knee-jerk reaction. Maybe it was my bad as well.

I have a large range of watches from cheap to expensive and wear them all at different times. I have looked at these a few times now that I have a positive review maybe I will get one. I also recommend some of the Armitron skeletons, cheap and rugged. I have a couple versions

Sorry for coping your style but i just went on to overstock and ordered one for like 67bucks with shipping. Even if I hate it it is worth the risk for 67 bucks worst comes to worst i will give it to someone or just wear it to work once in a while. I will let you know what I think when it gets here. Thanks for the info
