Time And Gems, Los Angeles
I'm going to buy my first Rolex watch, and I'd like to start with a pre-owned, and then maybe work my way up later on.
I know Time And Gems in Los Angeles sell pre-owned watches. And I was wondering if anyone here has ever bought a watch from them? I have looked online, and so far I haven't come across anything negative. Of course for my own sake, I'd want to get the watch authenticated by a dealer after purchase. |

Time and Gems
Phoenix -- My wife bought me a pre-owned rolex from time and gems for my birthday. she said they were very helpful over the phone, even though she changed her order several times. when I received the watch I had it authenticated and it all checked out. seems they are legit and are not selling any fakes. I received the watch and had a few problems and called them. I had a problem with the spring bar popping out of the clasp and they overnight fed ex sent me a new spring bar. it was still the wrong one and didnt fit, but I was reluctant to send my watch back as I still wanted to wear it. Well, after one month of wearing it, I found it was running 10 secs fast per day despite any position chages to regulate it. This was outside of the COSC certification that came with the watch. When I called them they said please send the watch back and we will regulate it and fix the spring bar and they e-mailed me a fed ex label pre-paid to ship it back. I am now waiting for them to service it and send it back to me. In the end, I feel that they are a trustworthy seller of pre owned rolexes, and thus far have stood by their warranty and have been concerned over my problems with the watch. They have a one year warranty on their watches and thus far have had absolutely no problem sticking to it with mine.

After being on TRF and seeing the horrors of fakes and scams around the world I am glad we have some members here that are top notch sellers around the world and the feedback is great. Mind you I am talking about people like Paul, Steve, Dave, Steve, and some others that have slipped my mind. You have to do your homework or you will be screwed.

As an update, I got my watch back 4 days ago, and after a daily check, it is running 4 seconds per day fast. This is much better than the 10 secs per day prior to regulation. mow within COSC specs. Time and Gems also replaced the spring bar. Would have to say that T & G is a reputable dealer. Would definitely recommend them.
