Vintage Womens Rolex Question

Howdy All,

New to Rolex watches and trying to find information on the attached.

The watch was given to my mom in the late 1960's.

That's about all I know. Haven't been able to find one like it online.

Any information would be helpful.

Well: I suspect it is older than 1960ies but that's all I have to add :-)

It's a basic ladies jewelry "dress watch" Rolex from the early 60s. Lots of these "jewelry" watches were made. They either have "no name" on them except for Rolex or they say "Precision" The faceted crystal was a very common mass produced ladies watch style for the 60s. There are many similar watches to this on line for sale, especially on eBay because they were the most common. The most common style is the round faceted crystal from the 60s. Most were 14k which increased their value and many had a diamond here and there.

You can see the plain ones for as low as a few hundred dollars (in good working order) on eBay and even the ones that are 14k with diamonds can be purchased for under $1,000.

See pictures of current ones on eBay. You can get some info about them by searching on eBay and seeing the descriptions, movement numbers, etc.

The one you have looks like 14k with a solid gold bracelet which makes it very nice and it should be the original Rolex band with possibly a little crown on the clasp. These are usually very very tiny watches for petite wrists. I have some small ones but I like small ones but some of these are even too small for me (the size of a dime) ! !

the watch in your photo bears close resemblance to a selection of ladies jewelry watches in the attached photos from the '60s. these designs were not exclusively rolex, they were produced by a few swiss factories and finished with the logos of different brands, eg, omega, longines, hamilton, benrus, zenith, etc.
this selection of rolex models is only a portion of the full line of such watches.
there is one aspect of your watch that looks a bit off. note the bracelet joints to the case lugs. perhaps it's how the light hits that part, but it appears to be soldered.
compare it to the attached photos where in all models, the metal bracelets fit perfectly to the case ends.
i hope it's just the photograph.

I've seen some vintage ladies Rolex watches where the bracelet looks soldered.
