What The Hell
I'm at a party Saturday, decide that I need some air, walk out back and sit down and see this!
Hey, I'm all for saving money or saving the environment but a wind mill in the back yard of a typical suburban neighborhood. The people of the party I was at must love their neighbor! |

Okay, maybe it's me, but why not? Nice sunshine, why not add a few solar panels to the roof.
I am all for the oilfield, we depend on it for our economy here is South Louisiana, but it has also killed thousands of animals and it is ruining our fishing and shellfish industry. So "why not?" Watch this....watch it to the end and then ask what the hell.

In some states now it's illegal to ban clotheslines. I really dislike looking at them.

I'm happy that there are people forward thinking enough to try something different, esp. in light of the tragic situation our dependence on fossil fuels has gotten us. I say what the hell with people who march along like sheep while criticizing anything or anyone that doesn't follow their idea of a status quo.

We've thought about installing a turbine &/or solar panels...just haven't gotten to it yet. The national wind research lab is just down on the plains East of us- seems like that should be telling me something...
They (the NWRL) has some HUGE turbines- Wind farms are going to become the norm I do believe.

Visually it wouldnt bother me especially considering the upside. However, did the windmill make any noise? The would be an issue for me...

I like the idea of wind power myself.
There has been some issues of low level noise frequencies bothering people who live close to wind farms. But that looks harmless enough and small in scale compared to a wind farm. |

I wouldnt be bothered by that provided the noise level wasnt outrageous...but that is just me...we also have a clothes line
Sheets and pillow cases coming off the line smell so fresh compared to the dryer. |

It wouldn't bother me. I'd probably go over and talk to the guy and find out more.
I'm a gadget junkie.

We all need to be looking for alternative energy sources and if the disaster in the gulf isn't a wake up call then I don't know what is. We are way too dependent on fossil fuels.
