If you don't know, I certainly have no idea. Was it in the fire or something?

could you please provide some other pics? i'm a bit unsure of what i'm looking at. is it darkened?

plus, the orange, incandescent lighting does not help in discerning the coloration.

Oh no, I know what happened, I just wanted to see how good you guys were... Sorry I got delayed and could not get back here.

Remember my loctite thread? Well, I used the wrong loctite and the links got stiff (to say the least) and nothing would loosen it... Warm water, soap, acetone, gasoline... NOTHING.

When all else fails use FIRE... I held a flame to the watch for about 5 minutes to burn the loctite off, not sure if it was the smartest thing to do or not but it worked, it loosened the link and now it is not stiff... All the black discoloration came off with a bit of rubbing and it looks like new again.

So who wants to buy a perfectly new GMT Ceramic??? Just kidding... I love it. It was so stiff that I could not wear it so this is what I did. Funny thing here, some are scared to allow anyone other than ROLEX to regulate their watch and I hold open flames to mine

Moral of the story USE THE CORRECT LOCTITE AND ONLY A LITTLE!!!

You know the scary part??? Right after I held the flame over it and let it cool off a bit I ran it under cold water... BIG MISTAKE.. I had touched the hot steel and my fingerprints were still on it... I could not get them off. I rubbed and rubbed and they wouldnt come off...

You dont want to know how I got them off but I did

Yup... Could not get the fingerprints off no matter what I did so I just lit her back up and did it again. This time I did not touch it and just let it cool down by itself for about 10 minutes and then wiped it clean. You may not be but I am very impressed with myself Usually when I try to fix something it only gets worse

My local RSC put Loctite on my PAM screws when polishing / putting on a strap. Kinda wish they had not done so.

Was advised to put a match to the screws for 1-2 seconds. Hmm. Too chicken. I want to switch straps from a Black Gator to a Brown Gator, but don't want to botch anything up... AAAAARGH

WRONG

Not when you dip the screws in loctite 242... Trust me, hairdryer wont work... With the correct loctite, YES. No more loctite for me
