WTB: late model 14060, meetup preferred
Hello everyone
Well, after quite a while lurking here, the time has come to make a serious attempt at acquiring my dream watch. First off, I am looking for a face to face meeting in either the Toronto area, Windsor, or Niagara Falls if you're near Buffalo. A big part of the reason for this is that the idea of paying 18% import duty/tax on my purchase sickens me. If the meeting is in Windsor or Toronto, it can be done at an AD. I may choose to have the AD look at the watch. I'm looking for a 14060 or 14060M in excellent condition, with the stainless steel bracelet, probably from 2004 or later. The condition of the crystal is particularly important to me. Hopefully I can provide enough evidence of my bona fides that a seller will feel comfortable meeting up. I'm a professional musician and there's a decent amount of material on the internet, available at YouTube and through Google search, for you to get a sense of who I am. I have a few feedbacks on eBay (8) and redflagdeals.com (19) in the same username as I'm using here, and at heatware.com under an older online name, mset (16). I'm sure that experienced sellers will have a few other tricks to help me establish my identity. I have had one seller tell me in private correspondence that there are ways to attempt shipments up to Canada in such a way that they will not be charged the tax/duty. I will consider this with the right seller. Lastly, I will only deal with established members here. I realize that there are a lot of conditions on this sale and I am ready to wait a while until the right set of circumstances comes about. Please let me know what you have. Thanks! |

And just like that, the deal is done!! My first Rolex, a beautiful Sub ND 'Z' serial that looks like it just came out of the showroom case. Thank you kmk and thank you TRF!
