New sub availability

I've seen many posts on the new subs coming out. Congrats to those who have them. Does anyone know if all the U.S. authorized deals have them. Specifically those in the NYC area? Does rolex tier their dealers so the tier 1 deals get them first? I was wondering why some AD have them in America have and others don't. Thanks

I'm sorry for such a rubbish advice, but have you tried calling the 5 nearest AD to your location? I'm sure via the phone they will let you know if they have any on stock.

NYC dealers have new subs, but from what I see, they only have WG or TT versions. I have not seen or heard of a SS model yet in the vicinity. Most AD's will tell you late August or September for stainless.

Yes

I have and they don't have them. I thought it was odd that NYC doesn't seem to have them yet many other cities do.

IMHO Rolex has a very sophisticated marketing technique in place when they decide which AD gets which watch(es) and when they get it. It's a known secret that ADs can't just order any watch from Rolex: it's Rolex who decide what ADs can get.

I suppose when an AD is located in a place like NYC, Rolex sends as many TT and all-gold models to them as possible, because they may suspect -- or better still, they've got all the sales data for the past 50-60 years for the specific AD -- that that AD will be able to sell those pieces. And when an AD can sell models with gold in them, why should they be rushed to get a new SS model?

While I have a sneaking suspicion that such ADs that are in smaller cities with less tourists traffic may just get the new SS models as soon as it's possible.

The new Sub-C is not too hard to find in SoCal. I tried one on last Fri. in OC and they still have it on hand today. But only the top tier Ads seem to have them first though.
