Submariner anchor question
When did Rolex stop putting the little anchor in the box with the Submariner and/or SeaDweller when you bought one?

I dont know when or why they stopped but I was bummed last year as well, I ended up buying one just so I could put it in the box. It's too bad, that was just a little nice treat and it couldn't have cost that much.

both my SD and LV didn't come with it.
I guess what's more important is the toolkit. Still, trinket or not, would be nice to have. Specially one of Leo's gold ones!

I think probably just around the turn of the Millennium. The last time I actually got an anchor with my brand new SUB was way back in 1997...........and I've still got the anchor!!

I got an anchor with my Sub when bought new in June 2006 (from an AD in London). It's still in the plastic packet as I can't think of what to do with it.

I bought one just to have it. Was bummed my DSSD didn't come with one. I almost had my AD make a one off with the 3900m on it just for me to have. Would have been cool.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that rolex stopped supplying the anchor from 2005 onwards. I could be wrong, I am writing this from memory, but I'm sure 2005 was the year qouted.

The anchors disappeared around the same time as the holograms and like the holograms in reality a useless bit of old tat.
