This is the only supplier I know of who sells the genuine Admiralty straps made by Phoenix straps in Cardiff

The admiralty strap supplied through Rolex is nothing special, and not manufactured by Rolex. Rather than spend ~$50 for a nato, just buy a couple quality staps instead from another source.
You can get a number of high quality NATO straps through timefactors.com I have several. Eddie carries high quality straps. Not all NATOs are the same quality BTW. Good to see another member about to join the Nylon Nation!

The clasp has no crown, it is generic. I'm sure rolex paid less than $10 for them.

update 3
Thanks everybody who has helped so far. I will update you as it goes alone. Tex all your help has been great. Dr. Brian, I agree with you to a point. I have other brands of NATO's and ZULUS that were far less money. I just think I would like to have one from Rolex also. and we really arent talking about a lot of money here.
For the braclet lovers, I love mine too, but I wear my Non Date sub everyday to work. Its anoter piece of my gear that I depend on. The Nylons are better for that. But yes you are right, its not as classy looking. I will post some pics when i get a chance. |

more update
ok,
so I called the UK rolex service center this morning. they have the strap, but i was bluntly told that they will not ship it to the USA, not even to an AD in the USA. After a few calls to my local AD and NYC service center, hoping to get lucky, i was finally told it is a UK only piece. so, if its good or bad.....I wont be getting it by any authorized means here in the USA. If I do get it i will post with the strap and the other brands that I have so we can all see how they stack up. I'm sure you guys are right and its not with the money, but now its a challenge. |
