16610LV... Die-Hard watch?
Is it just me, or does anyone else sense like a "revival" of the 16610LV?
Lately I've seen how less posts about the new Subs-C's... and more about the 16610LV in all their series. Anyone noticed this trend? |

Seems to be tons of them for sale, and lots of threads about them lately, both here and on other forums.

I really want an LV, but I think I like the ceramic green color better that the old green bezel of the LV.
The more for sale the better IMO |

the 16610LV rocks!!
some say they see tons of them for sale. I know one thing. When I look at that famous chrono24.com website I find 77 different 16610LV's for sale. When I search for the daytona I find 158 different 116520 for sale. Want to try Ebay ?? Here you go : 24 different 16610LV and 74 different 116520 Daytona Once again, the green bezel sub is much more rare than most of us think !!!! |

I am happy I sold mine before the market is flooded with old LV's.
The strange thing is, I was not planning on selling at all but when I got the new LV in my hands it was "game over" for the old one. I could have kept both but with the new one on my wrist it would have been stuck in my safe forever. Not good.

The lv is a very special sub. Simple.
The maxi dial and interchangeable inserts make it. Only ss sub for me.

Love my 16610V.
It is an important part of my collection that also sees it's fair share of wrist time. |

I've been saying this alot lately, but I think that the 16610LV with a black insert is THE ULTIMATE SUB!
Seeing the new ceramic is a bit of a dissapointment. I love the new bezels, but I really find the Maxi-dial to be the stand-out feature. I think that the original case, with the maxi dial and black insert can really stand toe to toe with the new sub, at a substantial price difference. I think this is why the LV is experiencing a bit of a resurgence... |

I have noticed a bit of a revival, not that you mention it. It is a great looking watch!

I think they are both nice and based on the pricing, the new one is more desireable. Otherwise wouldnt people be paying more for the old one?

One of the best wathes to come out of Rolex in a loong time. Leaves the new ceramic bezel for dead. Destined to become very sought after in the future. At the end of the day, these were only produced for about 7 years of which they were only 'readily' available for about 3-4. Can't really be that many of them around in non-WIS hands..
