My Sub-c arrived and the serial # is V plus six digits, 93xxxx.
It was sent the day after it arrived at the AD, so I guess Rolex is still using the pre-random S/Ns on the Subs. I have not yet even taken it out of the box.

Just picked up my 116610LN today and it has the old serial number V88XXXX kind of cool in a way as I bought a 16610 a few months ago with the new random serial number. so I have the new watch with the old serial and the old watch with a new serial

Has anyone returned a Sub because they did not like the Serial Number?

Yes it will mean something you have a V9XXXXX 16610 sub, much like the rest of the millions of 16610 subs except for a letter or so.In over 30 years around Rolex watches I have never seen any Rolex become collectible or more valuable because of a case serial or letter.
