Materials
Newbie here, first purchase was this week, SS Sub no date. The bug has bit me big time!
I haven't seen anything regarding the types materials used on the dial and the hands. It's well published that most of the watch is made of 904L SS, but what about the hands and the borders on the Luminova? How about the face and even the paint used in the words? How about my bezel on the Sub? Any other interesting materials used externally or internally??? Thanks!!!!! |

The red anodized aluminium rotor wheels which need no lubricant but work with very low friction.

Welcome and congrats! I have a 14060M, They are the same quality as any other SS rolex, it just does not have the date. I wash mine with a few drops of dawn, lathered in my hands every 2 weeks or so, and it comes out looking more shinier than before. You bought a fine timepiece!
