AD that will ship out of state

I'm currently looking to buy a SS GMT IIc and am having a hard time finding a good deal in California, especially after taxes are added on. I've spoken to a couple of AD's over the phone but they don't seem to be willing to sell to out of state customers. Does anyone of an AD they can recommend that will ship to Cali and are offering some decent discounts? I want to get an order placed before the supposed price increase. Thanks

If you pay with cash you should be able to get an AD in CA to include taxes. You just have to negotiate. I got my GMT-IIc for $5950, BNIB. You won't find a better deal than that, especially from an AD.

I live in South Carolina and purchased from an AD in Atlanta Ga. They shipped to my residence and didnt charge me tax, but I had to purchase it in person at the store.....wierd uh???

This didn't answer your question, but thought it would give you some insight on policies.

Have you tried Mosco (Greg) bodypump (Oscar) or justrolexes (Tony)? There are more here, but they are the ones that come up off the top of my head

i'm in the same boat, and david doesnt have any inventory. we should work together to see if we can get a better discount if we buy 2 at the same place. i'm also looking for the same gmt iic in ss and the best price i seem to find is $6,000 posted, or the $5950.

i'm in the san jose area and was going to stop by jade galore this sunday to see if they are willing to deal. already tried joe escobar in campbel, and they are not willing to discount. just a few hundred if you pay cash.

i tried oscar via email a day ago...havent heard back from him yet which is understandable since the top sellers get swamped with emails.

Thats a great idea. I'll PM you and see if we can work out a price that we are both happy with and see if we can get a deal together. I'm in the Bay Area also so it should be pretty convenient for us. I can tell you that I've tried Jade Galore and they are only willing to give a couple hundred off, not much.

Depending on what youre looking for, keep checking here as the trusted sellers' inventory changes frequently. Every AD I've ever dealt with ships out of state, I cant fathom why yours is being difficult....

Most AD's will ship out of state if you buy in person, or have an established realtionship with the AD through prior over the counter sales. Their Rolex contract requires all sales to be face-to-face (over the counter) sales. Some will choose to look the other way and sell over the phone.

I recently had two recent experiences. In one instance, a TRF member sent me a PM about a particular watch I was looking for so I called the AD (out of state). The confirmed everything and we agreed on a price, but would not complete the sale unless I came to the store in person to buy the watch. They would ship it back to me, but would not sell it without me coming into the store. The other instance happened with an AD that I had pruchased a couple watches a few years ago in another state that we were living at the time. They too would not sell unless I came into the store and made the purchase in person.

Try to get in touch with DavidSW or other trusted sellers here on TRF. They'll definitely ship out of state, tax free.

I've had several AD salespeople (stores I visited while traveling) offer to ship a watch to me if I decided to buy later and called them.

Maybe some ADs feel more comfortable if it's someone who's at least physically been to the store previously and calls back asking for a specific salesperson.

yes, thank you to the forum members who have pm'd us with ad's to try.

the issue for the both of us, we both contact davidsw and up until a few days ago he had i believe 2 of the gmt iic's, but they have since been sold and davidsw informed me he wasn't sure when he'd be able to get more.

nizmo and i are trying to get this done before the price increases, so if anyone else has suggestions let us know!

i'm still going to try the ad in cupertino on sunday. so if anyone else is interested in the same watch, pm me and i'll try to use it as leverage to get some sort of group discount.

Lessons learned here. When you visit Rolex AD when you travel leave your card and get theirs. As long as you where there looking at watches most will send you a watch out of state. Key word is most BTW. And some will even discount quite nicely.

AD's shouldnt ship out of state, thats a no no and they could risk their rolex dealership status.

You might try the Rolex AD at the Wynn Las Vegas, they told me they would ship to calif. with no sales tax

anyone else have a good relationship with an ad who'd be willing to ship to CA? i called all the ad's in oregon, and washington with no luck.

one in washington was thinking about it, but was concerned he wasn't going to be able to verify my id over the phone or via drivers license.

told him i'm in real estate and my state issued license has my home address. also my info and picture are on my companies website which would help validate my id.

please pm me if you have an ad suggestion for me to try along with the salesperson's name if you know one. thanks!
