My AD experience was horrible
I Dropped in one of middle TN's very Few AD's today and The ROLEX Displays Looked Like S**t.Glass was smudged,Watches were turned in all different directions,Pretty poor selection(IMO),and the guy who Tried to help me out knew absolutely next to nothing about the Rolex Line.So I'm Faking a sincere conversation with a person who know's Jack S**t,the display cases look like S**t,and Lastly, the Lineup seems to be Unimpressive and Not up to Date. The AD Where I purchased my wife's and My Rollies Didn't survive the economic Downturn(Carlyle and Co) and they IMHO were Classy as Hell.Anyhow,Just thought I would share this experience with you all as I left saying to myself "If ROLEX only Knew".BTW,the Company's name is "Jared".

The Jared staff are there to sell engagement rings and push their financing. Don't expect any knowledge of horology. The best Rolex experience is with a small jewelry store that services Rolex and sells pre-owned.

Sorry to hear that. You'd think at this caliber of watch the sales staff would be versed in what they sell. I get that at my Jared toohere in Sacramento but at least they are nice to my wife if not terribly knowledgeable about watches. Now diamonds is another matter.

I guess it could be worse, Tim. You could have gone to Turdneau.

Sorry to hear about your AD experience :(
Two days ago I stopped in my local AD (one of the very few in my area), and was treated VERY well. I saw the new Sub-C for the first time (it had a price tag of almost $8K), along with the GMTII-C, DSSD, and an all gold Daytona, amongst others. All in all I walked away very happy getting to see the new Sub. WAY out of my price range, but still nice nonetheless. |

Yeah, small AD's are the way to go. They tend to have much better service and are locally owned. Usually those big box stores have a good selection and are only good for looking and trying stuff on...

Yes a ROLLER is a Rolls Royce car, and a "rollie" in UK is a rolled cigarette.

You must have stopped by the same one I did in Cool Springs. The "Salesman" told me that it was very crucial that I buy a watch winder for my Air King because most Rolex watches are known to develop issues when you manually wind them. Also, later on in my conversation with him he notified me that I was indeed mistaken and Rolex never made a quartz watch and The Oysterquartz watches that I have seen are all fakes. Boy do I miss Carlyle and Co.
