Replace Dial?

Debating on replacing the dial on my Tudor Submariner that I have owned for 15+ years. The lamination is gone and the replacement cost = $225. I truthfully do not foresee this watch being a collector, maybe I am wrong? I do intend to pass the watch down.

BTW, the new dial which as been updated will have the bezels around each marker.

Replace it...especially if you want someone you pass it down to to use it.

Post some pics so we can tell how bad or good it looks. I would suggest keeping it original.

I do not have any close up pics of it and it is currently at the RSC.

I keep waffling on replacing the dial. It maybe too late now...

Is there anything else wrong with the dial besides the hour markers not glowing ? If not, then keep the original dial.

If the dial is in bad shape, I would have it replaced.

Some discoloration also.

I should mention that I obtained the watch without B&P. The previous owner upgraded the bracelet from the factory Tudor bracelet to a Rolex 78360.

find a dial that you like, have a competent watchmaker swap the dial. I do it all the time. I keep orig dial, my one sub has had 4 diff dials on it, 3 diff color serti dials

I have a great guy in Lititz Pa, he has buddies at the Rolex RS in Lititz and I have never had a problem..cost me $45 of so to have it done

I buy the dials, I just get them on ebay, refinished or whatever I like..I do not care if they are refinished or not. I keep the orig dial safe, put on what I like and when and if I sell the watch I return it to orig
I`m certainly no purist..if my dial is refinished I just look at it like make-up on my wife, it looks good and she is still my wife, does that analogy make sense? LOL

My issue is, how do you identify a real dial from a fake?
