Is it possible to make a ceramic version of the classic LV
by taking the green ceramic bezel off from a 116610LV and attaching it on a 116610LN?

Nope... can't be done. The two are completely different except in appearance.
However, the movements are almost identical and so you could take a black dial from a 16610 and put it in a 116610..........

You mean that the sub c green and black inserts are different? What about the bezel itself- are they also different? Or is it just different from the sub to subc? Not sure I'm understanding where the difference lies in the bezel or insert from 116610 lv to ln, other than colour.

I understand that completely. But tools said in reply to the question of switching the green and black ceramic bezels from 116610 models, not from 16610 to 116610. So my question is to clarify. I think perhaps tools misread the numbers. As far as I know there is no difference other than colour to the inserts of the ceramics, and the bezel itself should also be alike. So if one were to purchase a new insert shouldn't it be possible to create a ceramic equivalent of the 16610 LV? (the problem here is it is so easy to confuse the model numbers when reading posts ). I'm nosuggeting tools was wrong, just wondering if there was a misread.

There was a thread a couple weeks ago and a guy has both the 116610lv and the 116610. He said he might swap out the bezels so we could all see what it would look like.

I thought that you were asking about the new vs. the earlier versions..... However, the bezels are not available separately so it would be a pretty expensive exercise.........
