Great shot....just needs a little more light. You can do this when you edit and crop your picture by using the BRIGHTNESS feature.

The paper should be white and not red, and you fix that by setting your camera's WB (white balance) setting to match the type of light that you are using. It looks to me like you were using incandescent light (tungsten) but your white balance was set on something totally different. See... different types of light cast a different color on our subjects. Tungsten is a very warm and red light. Your brain adjusts for that and it knows what color things should be, but your camera will show exactly what you show it. By changing your camera's White Balance to Tungsten you are telling your camera that you will be shooting in a red light, and the camera will basically block out the color temperature that your light source emits.
