Who would you rather buy a rolex from?
Just curious...
Would you prefer to buy your Rolex from an experienced straight shooter watch guy with high product knowledge and deal making abilities that appreciates someone who knows what they want and are reasonable OR a new high end sales rep/order taker that can't separate themselves from the fact that they don't own the inventory and they may not know everything but look nice in their outfits and always say "Rolex will take away our license if we sell for anything less than MSRP?" even though you bought one last year at 20% off and if she checked her client history she'd know that but jumps to conclusions just because the person in front of her is in sweats and doesn't shower on Saturday and they may have just had an impulse to buy a new Rolex if she just knew how to qualify their customer rather than discount them as a nobody but has a Russian accent, is 5'9 (est) smells like jasmine and bites her bottom lip when she has to check her Rolex reference book on whether the watch this individual wants to buy is 39mm with the crown or without? Just curious --- that's all. |

Experienced watch guy...I've walked out of watch stores if I know that the salesperson was trying to sell me on a watch because "it's in limited supply, so I won't discount, so buy it while we have it"

Yup! I WISH my service & used Rolex guy sold NEW Rolexes but Rolex can't handle a guy like that. They want robots selling their wares. But, if you want new, you have to go where they are. I'll look DavisSW up in the future however. There are good AD sales reps but I'm seeing a trend I don't like (with the exception of the eye candy).

HA! That sounds like a typical AD experience - from a WISs viewpoint.
