Why would a 1993 have SEL?

Why would a 1993 18k YachtMaster have SEL and say "Swiss made" on the dial? I thought they didn't come out with SELs till 2000 or so? Plus I thought they all said "Swiss T-25" back then?

I *believe* all YM's had SEL's, and the early versions had the lug holes. No idea on the dial. Maybe that was a transitional year, or that specific dial/model got the luminova plots early? I know the YM's were only available in 18k for the first year as well.
