Sea Dweller (4000 ft) anchor -- With keyring? Or no keyring?

I'm checking around the bay for a Sea-Dweller anchor (4000ft). And I'm coming across two types.
Some SD anchors have a keyring attached to the anchor along with a short chain. And others have just the chain, no keyring.

What type of anchor came with the 16600 SD?
With keyring? or no keyring?
Are they both legit? Just different year of release?

Any help would appreciated!

Really? I'm seeing keyrings attached to about a quarter of all the SD (4000ft) anchor auctions on the bay. What shadiness! It's a shame because an attached keyring would actually be kinda handy to have. I'm gonna need to investigate some more.

Any other opinions out there?

I could be wrong, but I've never seen one come that way....
People could be adding them I suppose???

How difficult could it be to add a keyring?

The key ring is just an add on.

Not difficult at all, but if the keyring on the Rolex anchor in the auction is an undisclosed aftermarket addition, then IMO the whole item is suspect and I rather not purchase it if it might be fake.

I don't have any facts, but I would bet a donut that the vast majority of Sub and SD anchors found on the Internet are aftermarket....

The anchors that Rolex provided were not keyrings, just a decoration accessory and did not come with a ring but many folks did put one on to make it more useful to themselves.........

I've seen guys pay $65 for those keyrings and they don't belongs to the watch. It's funny to see people pay that
money for non Rolex item. Some says it's illegal to own those.

65bucks?! No way man. I rather have a nice dry aged steak for that money. I was looking to spend no more than $20 for that fancy keychain. But now hearing that the ones on the bay are most likely fake pieces of stamped metal. I'll pass... unless it's $10
